SUNDAY SKETCH WITH KATARINA

Hey CTK friends,

Katarina back with you with this week's Sunday Sketch and my inspiration for you. Let's see the sketch first.

And here's my take. I created an out of pocket layout in my 6x8 Life Crafted Layout featuring the beautiful July Going Places digital release

I used stripes of torn patterned printable paper on the top and bottom of the layout.

Inspired by the sketch I layered three papers behind my photo. I used the beautiful sun ray digital patterned paper and a piece of matching teal cardstock as well as a contrasting grey patterned paper from the Going Places collection. Under the photo I used a combination of CTK exclusive stamps.

I used one of the digital journaling cards to fussy cut my title. I love how the colors play together, tone on tone. I again combined it with a tiny stamp to add a little detail. Then I added my handwritten journaling.

I wanted to keep the layout simple, so for my finishing touches I only added a bunch of puffy stickers, a die cut circle from the Going Places Digital Elements and stitching for some added interest.

I hope you find the sketch and my take on it inspiring and that you try creating your own version using the beautiful Citrus Twist products. Thank you for stopping by and see you next time!

3-TO-INSPIRE WITH MARINA

Hi, crafty friends!

It's Marina with you today with a new 3-to-Inspire challenge.
I end July with a simply spread and our cool digital summer collection GOIG PLACES and here are three things that inspired me to create this beauty:

1. Stamps to create a composite title
2. Vellum and thread/ribbon for lightness
3. Dots for bright accents

So, here we are! :)
To create the title, I used our amazing stamps set True Life V2 and I just adore it, because it's just countless options! (By the way, you can also find the ink that I used in the СTK shop: it's a Detail Black and Indian Summer by Pinkfresh Studio and these lovely flowers I cut out from a digital card!)

I really like how a little piece of vellum immediately makes the page more light and airy, and the threads add a little mess to the rectangular photos :)

Adorable dots unite the top and bottom of the page:

A slight pink accent from our Going Places Digital Elements on the side photos brings them together with the page:
Ta-daaa! How do you like it? :)

I love our CTK digitals and use them very often when creating my pages, and you can find them right HERE in our shop! :)
We always look forward to seeing what you create with our 3-to-Inspire prompts, so be sure to tag Citrus Twist Kits in your posts!

Thank you all for your attention and have a great week!
XO

Sunday Sketch with Marsha

Hey, CTK friends! It's Marsha here today, and I'm sharing a layout for Sunday Sketch. I love creating with sketches and was excited to use this one as a jumping-off point for my project!

Here's a look at the sketch:

This sketch is in an 8.5x11 format, but converting it to a Life Crafted album spread was easy by separating the design down the middle of the page.

Here's my layout:

This month's Going Places Digitals were perfect for this spread, documenting a recent photo. I began by printing digital papers from the Going Places Kit and the Travelogue 23 digitals to use for the page. Next, I fussy cut frames from the digital paper. I rotated the sketch, added my photo to the right side of the layout, and did a bit of layering with the frames and die-cuts from the Summertime Florals ephemera. The Yellow to Pink Fade Alphabet Puffy Stickers worked well for the title.

I followed the sketch and layered the frames in a diagonal across the spread. A die-cut floral from the Summertime Florals ephemera was perfect for adding interest behind the frames.

To complete the page, I added some stamping with the Travelite Stamp and added my journaling to one of the frames.

I hope you are inspired to create a layout based on this week's sketch! Happy creating!

3 to Inspire with Lory

Hello friends! How are you?

Today I am happy to share with you a new recipe to create easily. It's so fun and easy to work with Citrus twist products and stamps. It's a travel notebook spread.

My recipe for you:

  1. Use pattern papers from Citrus Twist
  2. Then add stickers of any kind you love
  3. In the end finish your pages with some stamps
I have inserted digitals and physical products in a mix that I love, on the left a journaling card with words,  puffy stickers, phrases stickers and chipboards. On the right a patterned paper to mat my picture around it I built a sort of frame with many different embellishments.

Some details here

Hope this pages will inspire you.
Love, Lory

3-to-Inspire with Suzanne

 Hello friends!

I hope you’re doing well. I am just back from an amazing vacation in the USA! And can’t wait to start with documenting all the photos.

For this blog I have a new challenge, that I have used for this layout.

1. Use multiple photo’s

2. Use multiple puffy letters.

3. Use multiple design papers, I have used the travelogue collection to document me in the plain

These diecuts are just perfect to cover my stamping mistake haha

I hope that I have inspired you to make a big layout with the 6x8 papers that are in this collection!

LLove Suzanne

Happy Sunday to everyone! It is Marci with you today. We have another amazing sketch for you this week.

I loved that this sketch has a place for multiple pictures. I did end up replacing one of the journaling spots for even another picture. When I first looked at this sketch I saw an 8.5in x 11in layout. I choose to resize it to 7in x8.25in which will fit into one of the 6x8 life crafted albums. I also knew that I wanted this on the right side of my album based on where I had space for a one page layout. Although, I could have left the sketch as is, knowing that it would be on the right side, I decided to rotate the sketch 180 degrees. This puts the large paper stripe on the right side of the layout.

I used three of the digital papers from the GOING PLACES digital collection. I loved the bright and cheery orange and yellow paper. I also used a green and blue paper to tie in with the colors of my photos. With the smaller layout size and keeping my photos larger, I choose to move the title vertically and onto the stripe of paper.

I used three of this month's cut files on this layout. First, was the title HAPPY CAMPER. Next, I resized two of the other cut files, the LOVE arrow and the LET'S Go arrow, to make two smaller embellishments. I wanted some dimension to these cut files so I cut each one three times and layered them together. Now each one has the thickness of chipboard and is elevated a little off the page. I love the esthetic.

Similar to the sketch, I wanted to add my journaling onto a tag behind the lower picture. I used double sided tape along three sides to make a pocket behind the picture. My pictures are about 3.25in wide and 2.5in tall. I made my tag 4in x 2in so it would fit inside the pocket I created.

To finish off the spread I pulled some items from my Citrus Twist stash. These Puffy Word Phrase Stickers matched the colors in the GOING PLACES collection perfectly, so did these Cardstock stickers. Lastly, I added a heart and arrow from this Chipboard Arrow Sticker Set. They round out my third cluster of embellishments and match the denim and wood colors in my photos.

Thank you for visiting the blog today. I would love to see how you use this sketch in your crafting!

3 to Inspire with Jennie

Hi Everyone! This is Jennie with today's prompts!
1. Finish a project.
2. Show us some stats.
3. Repeat shapes.

My project to finish was this book journal from 2022! My recommendation is to take on a project that is almost done or a short project.

I used pie charts to document the kind of books I read in 2022. You can also use lists like "The year in Numbers".
I repeated two shapes in this little spread, circles and the squares from the frames.
We hope you see you in the Facebook Group showing us how you use this inspiration.

Sunday Sketch with Patricia

Hello CTK Friends!  Welcome to another Sunday sketch!  When I saw the sketch, I immediately wanted to get create my layout with stamps, this month's digital collection (Going Places), and bits from an old add-on kit from Simple Stories Wildflower.

I used the Simple Bliss stamp set, the striped hexagon, and stamped it with the lines going vertically to replicate the sketch.  I printed the elements from Going Places on vellum to give a nice feminine soft look to go with my photo.  And then printed and trimmed a piece of Going Places paper with lines to also replicate the vertical lines from the sketch.

I kept the layout simple and light with clusters around the photo.  I used the Simple Bliss stamp set again to stamp the flowers, fussy cut, and then tucked them to replicate the stars from the sketch.

I had fun pulling out old bits and even though the colors from the Simple Stories Wildflower collection leftovers I have don't match, I really like that.  I just breaks up the repetition of colors I have created and then also adds another depth and focus that I really loved.

I trimmed an element piece from vellum to use for my journaling at the top.  Love how this came out with the inspiration.  You could definitely use strips of pattern paper as the sketch shows, but mixing up the elements making them vertical was fun and creative!
