3 To Inspire with Nolana

Hello Lovelies!

I'm so excited to be on the blog with you today with my 3-to-inspire project! For my project, I made a one page wonder out of 1 12 x12 paper from the January Add-On kit using embellishments and puffy stickers from this month's kit.

So my 3 to inspire are:-

1. Use the February digital papers on a vellum or acetate medium and layer over another pattern of digital paper.

2. Use the bright pink word strips to embellish your photos

3. Create a fun cluster using the February die cuts

I really enjoyed creating this project to document my crafty shenanigans thus far in February.

I created lots of pockets to tuck in pictures and journaling for each of the major projects I did this month.

I also did some reflections on what crafting looks like for me now versus before having children and how it continues to be my therapy in this new season of life.

Most importantly I had heaps of fun creating this mini album with all the CTK crafty goodness this month.

I do hope you take the opportunity to document your crafty adventures, please tag us showcasing your projects if you do!

Signing off for now!

LIFE CRAFTED INSPIRATION WITH LOREDANA

 Hello everyone!

How are you? It's Lory here today and in this post I am happy to share my everyday Life. I was thinking that sometimes we think that our life is a rush, our life is so normal and boring and ripetitive but think about how many little precious moments we are lucky to live and run to treasure these memories.

It's a very sad period for all the human race and we need to focus our attention not on what we have or don't have but on what we are lucky to live! Our lives are so precious don't forget it, sometimes life takes us away from the right focus but we can change our direction. We can change, even if it's unbelievable in this moment looking at what is happening in the world, I believe we can change our life in better.

So I focus my thoughts on what makes me happy and scrapbooking is my colorful world

The Life Crafted system is what I use to tell my everyday stories, the album are gorgeous and easy to fill with photos and memories. For this spread I have used the January and February kits, February digital TN papers and the fabulous die cuts.

On the right side I have created a little cluster of embellishments and the title of the story. To be busy making everyday memories is the best.

On the right I have played with photo and journaling cards. You know my style is clean and simple and made of little details. On the top a journaling card that is a door for the photo behind it.

The weekend is my therapy oh yes! I used one of the adorable cards that I always find in my Citrus twist packages full of super lovely messages. I love Citrus Twist family to the moon and back!

Hope you will be inspired to start or keep your storytelling:)

Have a wonderful weekend.

Love, Lory

Sunday Sketch with Katarina

Hey everyone,

It's Katarina again and today I'm back with a Sunday Sketch inspiration for you. I love to use a sketch as a starting point for my projects and this beautiful sketch was so nice to play with!

Here's the Life Crafted spread I created.

As you can see, I rotated the sketch by 90 degrees to make it work for my Life Crafted album. I printed three square photos of my son drawing and placed them on the right side of my layout. Behind my photos I layered a mix of patterned papers and a journaling card from the Handcrafted digitals and Fresh Starts patterned papers and made them continue over to the left side.

I placed my title using one of the Handcrafted Die Cuts vertically on the left side of my spread backed with a tag die cut from the same Handcrafted Kit. The tag helped balance the yellow color on my layout and it was perfect for my journaling too.

There was a circle element on the sketch so I used a cute little blue doily that came with the Fresh Starts 6x8 Papers to add this detail. I also created a little cluster on the bottom left of my layout.

I added a bunch of embellishments, mainly Handcrafted Puffy Stickers and Ephemera. Those pink arrows are insides of letters "A" from the beautiful Yellow to Pink Fade Alphabet, I just love this little detail.

Inspired by the sketch, I used a border die from my stash on the top and right edge of my spread, added a twine and backed it with one of the Fresh Starts 6x8 papers for a bit of contrast.

It was so much fun to create this spread taking inspiration from this week's sketch. Can't wait to see how it inspires you and your layouts! Thank you for stopping by today and wishing you a wonderful day!

xx Katarina

3 -to-Inspire with Jasmin

Hi friends! Today i can show you my project for the 3-to-Inspire challenge.

I chose for:

✔ Envelope

✔ matching colors

✔ Transparent Paper

First I made 5 mini envelopes out of clear paper and filled them with photos of all the design teams I've been or am on. Then i printed the digital stripe paper, cut the stripes and placed it on my paper.

I stiched on a few stripes for a little Detail.

I try to embellished the envelopes with Ephemera in the same colour.

At the End i printed my journaling also on Transparent paper.

I hope you like it and you try my inspire!

Have a wonderful weekend!

LIFE CRAFTED INSPIRATION with NATHALIE

Hi there!

Nathalie with you to share some inspiration for your next Life Crafted Layout.   With our busy lives, there is always less and less time to sit down and document all those memories.  Well, here is where  the Life Crafted system is probably one of the best ways to get your stories documented quickly and with style.

For this page, I wanted to focus on a large bold title to tell the story of the photo.  So, I used the Spencer Solid Alpha to stamp the large word in one of the 4x8 manila tags.

In addition, I am using the This Is Life Legends Stamp set to complete the title work, and also to create embellishments for the spread.  I paired the large title with a few extra embellishments from the Flea Market's Findings Kit.

I love having digital papers to work with, that means I can print them as I need them. This time, I am using a digital paper from the Fresh Starts digital collection, and paired it with one of the 6x8 papers from the Fresh Starts kit.  I pulled ephemera from a few collections to help me frame the photo.

I hope this inspires you to document your next story in your Life Crafted album... Remember to share with us your finished projects

XO

Sunday Sketch with Shu-Wen

Hi everyone!

It's Shu-Wen here, sharing how I used this week in 2 different ways:
1) To make a layout in my Life Crafted Album
2) To make a card for a friend

Here's the sketch that I used to create my layout and my card:

Let's start with the layout first!

I decided to adapt the right side of this sketch into the right page of my layout.

For each of the three photos in the sketch, I backed three small 1 3/8" x 1 3/8" photos of me doing some crafting with the Instax-type frames that came in the Handcrafted Digital Elements package. And for the numbers, I cut apart the stitched hearts in the Handcrafted Traveler's Notebook Basics and Patterns Digital Papers and used the Black Alphabet Puffy Stickers to number each of the photos as shown in the sketch. I decided to ink the edges of these little squares with my Distress Oxide inks to help them stand out from my page a bit.

Next, I layered up some patterned papers from that same set of digital papers; my craft room is usually not very well lit, so I love how the bright colors of these patterned papers brighten up my layout, even if my photos are a bit darker.

Because I was going to do my journaling on the left side of the spread, I decided not to add any journaling to this right side of the spread, and instead just decorated the empty spaces with some ephemera from the digital ephemera pack and the Handcrafted Die Cut Ephemera Pack, as well as some puffy stickers from the Handcrafted Puffy Sticker Sheet. I also used the puffy sticker that says "Making Things" as my title for this page.

I used one of the digital TN papers as the base for my journaling and stapled one of the ephemera die cuts to the top. I absolutely loved being able to document my love for crafting with this new kit from Citrus Twist Kits!

Here's what my final layout looks like:

I noticed in the past year that since I've been scrapbooking more, I've been neglecting my cardmaking, which means I don't have as many cards left to pick from in my stash! I happen to have a co-worker who is leaving us at the end of this month, so I decided to challenge myself to create a card for her using this same sketch. As I'm only working on an A2 sized card base (4.25"x5.5"), I decided to make the right side of the sketch into my card front and ignore the left side of the sketch that's blank.

I love that this kit is so versatile that it can serve as the base for a friendship-type card, and not just be used for scrapbooking our hobbies. In place of the 3 photos and journaling spot, I chose to cut apart even more stitched hearts. Instead of the numbers, I decided to use some mini heart buttons from my stash, which I stitched to the card base. And finally, instead of a title, I decided to add the sentiment "We'll Miss You" with the Deep Turquoise Puffy Alphabet Stickers near the top of my card. As for the patterned papers, I mostly used some leftover scraps of the digital patterned papers I had cut up to use in my Life Crafted Album spread.

You can check out the full process video for this spread and card on my YouTube Channel!

This new Handcrafted Mini Kit has been one of my favorites from Citrus Twist Kits, and I love how both my Life Crafted Album spread and my card turned out! If you decide to make a layout using this sketch, feel free to tag me on Instagram or on the Citrus Twist Kits Facebook Fan page so that I can check it out!
