July Kit Love with Ashley Horton

Hello everyone!!   I hope you are all enjoying your summer and finding time to sit down and create with your favorite Citrus Twist products.  I'm here today to share some inspiration with you, using the gorgeous July Wild at Heart Life Crafted Kit!

If you received the Wild at Heart Kit, then you know it has a lot of fun bright colors.  It also has these awesome large numbers and they were the inspiration I used to get started on this layout.  I loved that the numbers were Black, Gray and White.  They made me go with a more neutral color scheme and I decided to turn my photos to Black and White also.  You can see that I did bring in a bit of color, but I went with the softer pinks and teals from the kit.  I love the contrast of the B&W look with the limited color scheme.

I wanted to use the photos and numbers to create a grid design on the left-hand side of my layout.  I sized my photos a bit smaller than the numbers, so I could include some embellishing with each photo.  Then I offset the photos on my background paper, and next I placed the numbers.

Since I used all three of my photos on the left-hand side of the page, I didn't have any to include on the right-hand side.  I knew I wanted to continue the grid design, though.  I went through the Ephemera from the Wild at Heart Kit and chose pieces that I could put together to get a grid look.  I mixed in some circle pieces on this side to add a contrast with the rectangular shapes.  And, I was able to include my title on this side, by using the Puffy Alpha Stickers over one of the Ephemera pieces.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my post today!  I hope I've given you some ideas for working with your Life Crafted Kits!  This type of page design is great for using up bits and pieces of your Ephemera, so I hope you'll give it a try!
